Tainted Love: TESTIMONIALS
THESE ARE ACTUAL E-MAILS WE HAVE RECEIVED, Hey even we couldnāt make some of
this stuff up!
You guys were awesome at Bimbo's Saturday night.. I am not sure if it was
the massive amount of booze flowin' through my system or not but Brett was
looking extremely hot that night. John was his usual 80's god-like self and
it was cool to see Jamie bust out "Dancing in the Dark". If you only you
had Courtney Cox on stage with him doing the "white guys" dance:-)
Keep up the great work!! You guys have only gotten better since I began
following two years ago.

I guess just send me any info on when you're playing in the Sacramento area.
I can't wait to see you guys again. It was the last night I got laid.
Thanks!
I just wanted to write and say you guys gave a great show at the 107.5 80's
party last night. It was like seeing all of those 80's bands live and I
have to say that was the best Halloween party I have ever been to! I hope
you'll play in Portland again.
All the best,
Lindsay

My wife and I caught your show at the October 14, Half Moon Bay Pumpkin
Festival. We saw the music line up and made it a point to swing by your show
because we love 80's music. Tainted Love played exceptionally well, best
live band to play 80's tunes I've ever heard. From the music to the
wardrobe, all was great. So good, we tracked down the web site and plan to
take our friends to a show. Hope you all make lots of $$$$$ and keep playing
them tunes.

Tainted Love,
Thank you for your wonderful show at the Belly Up in Solana Beach. The
music, not to mention the band always stirs something inside of me. I
enjoyed it so much my first time, I invited all my friends to partake in the
experience. I think it is essential to reconnect with our pasts and the
feeligs and experiences it evokes. I talked with many individuals who felt
the band was their vehicle to access the 80's once again. Thank you for
enabling Southern, CA to your enjoy music...

Hola
I saw your performance at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland.
It was great. I enjoyed it.
I especially liked 99 Luftballoons, Walk Like an Egyptian,
Safety Dance, Come on Eileen, and The Promise.
I kept yelling for Billy Idol because I wanted to hear
Dancing with Myself!
I hope you can come back to Portland so I can hear my
favorite Billy Idol songs :)

Tainted, loved your show guys, at the Pumpkin Festival. Thanks for coming
and intertaining us. A new fan of Tainted Love. Judy
PS This is my 7th festival and I have never seen such audience participation
by any other group.
I am a 31 year old female who saw your show in Chico last night. While at
your show I was thinking that there was no place on earth that I would
rather be at that moment than where I was. I had such a fabulous time. It
was like going to all the concerts I missed while in high school, and a few
I had seen! I have not danced and sang like that in years! I don't know
how you do it... I was exhausted when I got home!
I have lived in Chico for 9 years now, and I must say that was the best show
I have seen locally.... I so hope you will be returning soon! In the
meantime I will have your cd to remind me of what a fun time I had while you
were here!
Thanks again! You guys are fabulous!

REVIEW OF TAINTED LOVEāS NYE SHOW AT BGP 2000
ATTENTION, party planners for next year's Y2K+1! You know those
high-quality, big-name bands you hire for the annual SFNYE gala? The
ones that cost an arm and a leg?
Here's a helpful hint: DUMP 'EM. And hire only cover bands that play
'80s hits - the decade of choice for those who frequent these events.
The ones who still wear their hair feathered and think the mold was
broken after Men Without Hats.
There were several points during the SFNYE celebration Friday night when
the 8,000-strong attendees could not be bothered to tune into the
magnificent music being brought from the main stage, because the cover
band, a local outfit called Tainted Love, was cranking out something by
Madonna or AC/DC in a side pavilion.
When Los Van Van (dubbed "the Rolling Stones of Cuban music" by virtue
of its 30-year, 23-record history) sold out the Warfield this fall, the
audience was reduced to a sweaty, writhing mass; this time only a few
couples braved the complex Latin steps.
That's because most everyone was rocking out to Tainted Love, in the
Disco Pavilion. Which was a little odd, given that disco is (thankfully)
not this band's genre. Tainted Love specializes in '80s New Wave
(remember that?), including such hits as "Hungry Like the Wolf," "Melt
With You" and, of course, "Safety Dance."
